80, Holgate Road

No. 80 Holgate Road is a house, now divided into flats, built around 1845-1850. It is constructed of brick and has a slate roof. The building has three storeys above a basement and features two bays. The first and second floor windows are 20th-century casements that mimic the appearance of 12-pane sash windows. These windows are adorned with sill bands and painted rusticated lintels.

On the ground floor, to the left, there is a timber canted bay window with sash design and a mutule cornice. The base of this bay is rendered and includes a 20th-century glazed door leading to a basement flat, flanked by glazed lights. The main entrance, located on the right side of the ground floor, features a Tuscan pilaster doorcase with a mutule cornice and panelled reveals. The door itself consists of four panels and has a plain rectangular overlight above it. The building's gutter is supported by plain rectangular brackets, and there are shared chimneys on both the left and right sides. The interior has not been inspected.
