Description
The garden railings, gate standards, and gate at number 6, which face Holgate Road, date from the early 19th century and have been restored in the 20th century. The structure includes a brick wall with stone coping, stucco piers, and cast-iron railings and gate. The wall along Holgate Road features iron railings that return at the left-hand (eastern) end, forming the boundary between the gardens of numbers 5 and 6 Mount Terrace. The entrance gateway is marked by rusticated stucco piers with a square plan and plain cornices, connected by an iron overthrow that supports a lamp. On either side of the gate, there are cast-iron openwork standards.
