Description

Mount Terrace House is a house built around 1827, with later alterations in the 19th century. It is constructed of white brick and features a slate roof behind a parapet. The building has a double-depth plan and a symmetrical facade with two storeys above a cellar and three bays, topped with a cornice and blocking course. The central bay slightly projects and is adorned with a pediment.

On the first floor, the windows are glazing bar sashes set within a sill band and painted brick flat arches. The ground floor has canted bay windows with moulded cornices; the right-hand bay has a brick base, while the left-hand bay includes a mullioned cellar window. The entrance features a doorcase with engaged Ionic columns, a cornice, and panelled reveals. Above the six-panel door is an overlight with geometrical glazing. There are chimneys on both the left and right sides of the house. The right-hand return wall, facing northwest, has two bays with sashed windows and painted brick flat arches, except for a blind recess on the first floor at the right. The interior has not been inspected.
