Description
No. 77 Holgate Road is a house built around 1828-1830. It is constructed of brick and has a slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall, with the ground floor almost level with the semi-basement of the adjacent No. 75. The façade features two bays. On the ground floor, there is a single tripartite sash window that is slightly bowed and has glazing bars. The first and second floors also have sash windows with glazing bars. The doorway is located to the right and is framed by a doorcase with engaged fluted columns. Above the doorcase, there is a frieze with a panel that has a raised border. The door itself has six raised and fielded panels and is topped by a plain semicircular overlight. The guttering is supported by rectangular timber brackets, and there are shared chimneys on both the left and right sides. The interior has not been inspected.
