Farmhouse, early C17 with alterations in 1885 (on porch). Brick nogged timber frame and painted brickwork with tiled roof. "L" shaped plan,2 storeys, 2 bay entrance front with 3-bay west return at the north end. Stone plinth, close studding with middle rail. Jettied first floor with shaped console ends to some first floor studs. Chevron treatment at first floor level also shaped studs and quadrant features between ground floor and first floor windows. A projecting gable-end at the north-east corner has a slightly jettied gable. Replaced 4-and-5 light flush casements. On the east side, a gabled, timber framed porch, with the initials IRA FMA and the 1885 date in the apex, fronts and half glazed 4-panel door, with bead and butt panels below, in a chamfered frame with rectangular overlight. Windows on this side are 2-to-3-light flush casements; in gabled dormers at first floor level. Tall rebuilt brick stacks. Interior: Ovolo moulded and stop bevelled beams, ledged and battened doors, some on strap hinges, and C19 4-panel doors.
