Description
Manor Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse featuring a red brick facade, gables, and a rear made of coursed stucco. The roof, which was originally covered with stone slates, now has blue tiles at the front and concrete tiles at the rear. The building is two storeys high with five bays, and the rear wings create an "F" shaped plan. The ground floor has recessed sash windows with stone sills and cambered flat arches, while the first floor features flush casements in a cross window style. The entrance has a replaced half-glazed door set in a chamfered frame with a central mullion overlight, all under a flat cambered arch. The walls are thickened up to the first floor level, where they finish with a weathered blue brick band. There are stacks on the south gable and one bay in from the north gable. Inside, the farmhouse has exposed full cruck trusses flanking an inglenook, heavy chamfered beams, some exposed ceiling joists, and boarded doors on old strap and tee hinges.
