Description
9 Nevill Street is a two-storey building constructed of painted brick with a natural slate roof. It features a double depth plan with a through carriageway on the left and the house entrance located centre right. The façade has four bays, with two windows on the ground floor flanking a house door, and large plank double doors to the left set within a broad segmental arch. The round-headed doorway has a six-fielded-panelled door and a Gothic interlace fanlight above. On the first floor, there are two windows in the house part and a smaller window above the carriage arch, which may be a modern addition as it is not mentioned in previous descriptions. All windows have segmental arches, with six over six pane sashes on the ground floor and three over six above; the window above the carriage arch is a three over three pane. The roof is plain with a fairly steep pitch. The rear elevation is plain and has been altered. The interior has been converted into modern offices.
