Description
5 Nevill Street is a three-storey brick building that has been colourwashed, featuring decorative bands at the first and second floor levels, with the first floor band being a double string. The roof is made of natural slate. The building has a double depth plan with the entrance located on the right side.
The façade includes one window on each floor. The round-headed door on the right has a fanlight above and a six-panelled door with a knocker. The windows have segmental arched heads and consist of 8 over 8 pane sashes. The first-floor window is slightly offset to the right of the ground floor window and is smaller in size. The second-floor window is even smaller, with only 3 over 6 panes, positioned to the left of the ground floor window.
While a previous description noted alterations to the eaves cornice, there is now little evidence of this. The building features a parapet, a plain roof, and a gable stack. The rear elevation has not been inspected, and the interior was also not inspected during the resurvey.
