Description
13 Nevill Street is a three-storey building with a stucco front that has been painted, topped with a natural slate roof and featuring a red brick chimney stack. The building has a double depth plan, with the entrance located on the right side and a large rear wing. The front facade includes three windows and a six-panel door with a transom light, a flat dentilled hood, and a beaded architrave. The windows are 6 over 6 pane sashes with segmental heads, while the second-floor windows are 3 over 6 pane and have been restored since the building was listed in 1974. The roof is plain, with a tall stack on the left gable.
The long rear wing is rendered and painted, also with a slate roof and red brick stacks. This wing is two storeys and has an attic, with windows only on the south elevation facing the garden. It features four windows, including 8 over 8 pane sashes and one 6 over 6 pane sash on the upper floor. The roof is steeply pitched and includes three 3-light gabled dormers, with a tall stack positioned between the two right-hand dormers. All the joinery in this section is a late 20th-century replacement.
The interior was only partly inspected during the resurvey, but only late 20th-century features and finishes were observed.
