Description
Nos. 10 and 12 Nevill Street Rough rendered and painted fronts with natural slate roofs. Three storeys, five windows to whole, but the two houses are clearly of different design, despite having a broad fascia band across them both. No. 10 has two windows and modern entrance to both properties now linked as one on the right. Tripartite window on the ground floor with three 6 over 6 pane sashes. Six over 6 pane sashes on the first floor and 3 over 3 pane ones on the second floor. No. 12 has two ground floor bays with 8 over 8 pane sashes flanked by 2 over 2, with blocked entrance between. Six over 6 pane sashes on the first floor and 3 over 6 pane ones on the second floor. Over centre first floor window a round majolica plaque with cherubs playing musical instruments in the manner of della Robbia. Plain roofs with ridge stack between the two houses.
Rear elevation not inspected.
The interior has been greatly altered on the ground floor in its C20 conversion to club premises. C20 staircase and the upper floors have been converted to flats. It has also been run-together with No. 10 adjoining. Said to contain wall-paintings
