Description

Plas yn Llan is a 2-storey house made of rendered stone, topped with a medium-pitched slate roof. The front features five bays that are nearly symmetrical, with a central round-arched entrance. The entrance has a painted stucco surround with a slightly projecting key and a stopped-chamfered doorcase that is slightly recessed. It includes a simple Y-tracery fan and a plain four-panelled door. On either side of the entrance are near-flush sash windows, with 16 panes on the ground floor and 12 panes on the first floor. The ground floor windows have gently cambered heads, and all windows have projecting stone cills.

The house has plain end chimneys made of stock brick, along with a similar central chimney, all topped with simple decorative chimney-pots. To the right, there is a projecting end stack that has been reduced and retains its original roofing. At the rear, there is a gabled cross-wing on the right, which dates from the 1871 rebuilding, featuring a rendered stack and modern windows.

Stepping down from this is a single-storey extension, also roofed with slate, which has outshuts to the right and rear. This extension includes modern garage doors and a modern door to the left. Additionally, a further modern cross-wing is attached to the left side.

Inside, there is a wide inglenook with a chamfered bressummer and a 19th-century bread-oven in the ground floor room on the right.
