10 Oakshaw Street, Paisley

This building at 10 Oakshaw Street in Paisley dates from around 1830 and has had later additions. It is a house with one storey over a basement and features a symmetrical three-bay south front, along with a one-bay eastern addition and a two-storey section with an attic to the north. The exterior is finished in painted render that is lined to resemble ashlar stone.

On the south front, there is a bandcourse above the basement and raised margin strips framing the original three bays. The entrance has a pilastered doorpiece topped with a cornice and a shaped block. The windows are two-pane sashes, and there is an eaves band. The roof is slate, featuring corniced ashlar stacks, while the addition has a flat roof.

The north front includes two-storey canted windows that flank a later polygonal porch. The main block has lying pane glazing, an eaves cornice, and a blocking course, along with two canted dormers.
