16 Oakshaw Street, Paisley

16 Oakshaw Street in Paisley is a house built around 1830, featuring a later extensive wing to the south that creates an L-plan layout. The north elevation is two storeys high with an attic over a basement, and it has a symmetrical three-bay design. The exterior is made of ashlar stone with angle strips and a channelled basement. It includes an architraved doorpiece with a cornice supported by consoles, twelve-pane glazing, an eaves cornice, and a slate roof that has two canted dormers and corniced end stacks.

The south elevation and the wing are constructed of snecked rubble with droved ashlar dressings. The left side of the earlier house has one bay with sash windows and a canted dormer. The projecting section features a two-storey gabled bay with tripartite mullioned windows facing south, and a dormer that rises through the eaves. Additionally, there are panelled and corniced square ashlar gatepiers.
