Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey, attic and basement, 3-bay, square-plan classical house. Sandstone ashlar to front and 1 side, rubble stone to other sides. Base course, eaves cornice, blocking course.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 2 windows to right in basement. 6-step flight with steel balustrade to entrance on raised ground floor, pilastered and corniced doorpiece with recessed 4-panel door and fanlight with radiating glazing bars. Window centred above at 1st floor, 2-bays to right symmetrical, architraved margins and corniced heads. Canted dormer set back to right.

W ELEVATION: boarded doorway to centre, blinded window immediately above, window above at 1st floor, bays flanking with blinded windows at ground floor, and to right at 1st floor, 2 openings in basement. Canted dormer set back.

E ELEVATION: blank gable end, blocked openings.

N ELEVATION: neighbouring property adjoining to right.

12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof, piended to W, pitched to E. Stacks removed.

BOUNDARY WALL: low coped wall fronting basement to S.
