Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey with basement and attic, 3-bay classical house forming end of terrace. Painted ashlar. Banded rustication at basement; ground floor band course; eaves course; cornice; blocking course. Architraved windows; square brackets to lower cill corners at ground and 1st floors; cornices to ground floor windows.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central stepped platt oversailing basement; corniced, consoled block-pedimented doorpiece; timber door; decorative looped letterbox fanlight; single window aligned above at 1st floor; glazed timber door aligned below at basement; narrow slit window to left. Regular fenestration to flanking bays at basement, ground and 1st floors. Bipartite dormer to right at attic.

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: single central window at basement; regular fenestration at ground and 1st floors; broken pediment above.

12-pane timber sash and case windows (plate glass at attic); rooflights. Grey slate roof; stone skews; coped stacks; circular cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.

RAILINGS AND GATE: ashlar copes surmounted by spear-headed iron railings (urn finials delineate sections); gate to outer right.
