Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey with basement (and attic to rear), 3-bay classical house forming part of terrace. Painted ashlar. Banded rustication to basement; ground floor band course; eaves course; cornice; blocking course. Architraved windows; square brackets to lower cill corners at ground floor; cornices to ground floor windows.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central stepped platt oversailing basement; corniced, consoled doorpiece (with later architrave); 2-leaf timber door; segmental fanlight; single window aligned above at 1st floor; timber door with letterbox fanlight aligned below at basement. Regular fenestration to flanking bays at basement, ground and 1st floors.

Predominantly plate glass timber sash and case windows (12-pane at basement). Grey slate roof; coped stacks; circular and square-plan cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.

RAILINGS AND GATE: ashlar copes surmounted by spear-headed iron railings (pineapple finials delineate sections); gate to outer right.
