12-14 Oakshaw Street, Paisley

12-14 Oakshaw Street in Paisley is a house built around 1830. It features three bays and is two stories tall, with an attic and a sunken ground floor on the south side, while the north side has two stories over a basement. The building is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings on the south and east sides, rendered on the west side, and has channelled ashlar at the basement on the north side.

On the south elevation, there is a pilastered and corniced doorpiece between the floors, which is obscured by a modern porch. The windows are 12-pane sash types. The north elevation features a porch with Roman Doric columns and an entablature, flanked by pairs of architraved and corniced windows. The first-floor windows have moulded cills and are also 12-pane sashes. The eaves cornice and blocking course are present on all sides. The roof is piended slate with corniced stacks on the west and east sides, and there is an unfortunate dormer on the south side. Ornate cast-iron railings are present at the doors, and there are three square painted ashlar gatepiers that are corniced and capped.
