Description
The building is a hall designed by architect T G Abercrombie in 1895, featuring Renaissance details. It has a simple single-storey rectangular plan and is constructed from snecked stugged ashlar with polished dressings and long and short angle quoins. The southwest corner is rounded at the lower part. There are four round-headed windows along the long south side, and a Venetian window at the west gable wall, which is adorned with Ionic columns, a pulvinated frieze, and a Gibbs surround. The east end features a cross window with a stilted lunette above and sidelights set within an arched ashlar surround. The building has a slate roof with corniced straight skews and skewputts, along with a stack on the east gable.
A porch is attached to the north side, featuring a lugged corniced architrave around the door and an oculus. The eaves have a cornice and balustrade, and the roof is piended slate. Inside, there is a collarbeam roof and a stained glass window in the southwest corner that is dated 1872.
