Description
30 High Street in Paisley is a classical commercial building dating from around 1800. It stands three stories high with an attic and features a three-bay design constructed from ashlar stone. The ground floor has been modernized for shops.
On the first and second floors, giant Tuscan pilasters extend up through the facade, flanking outer bipartite sash windows and a central sash window, all adorned with incised "Greek" ornamentation in pediment shapes. There are also continuous cill courses on both floors, which have incised ornamentation below them.
The building has three dormers that rise from the eaves cornice and break through a balustrade, with the outer pair being bipartite and featuring incised ornament and pediments. The roof is slate, topped with corniced stacks.
