Description
This is an early traditional West Highland cottage, built in the piend-roofed style. Originally thatched, it now features a piended corrugated iron roof. The cottage is constructed from rubble with boulder footings and has a squared rubble chimney head. It has four bays, arranged as three bays plus one, with a ridge stack located over the partition wall.
The left-hand three-bay domestic section has an entrance in the center of the front elevation, which includes a later timber porch. To the right of the entrance, there is a single window with a 9-pane glazing pattern. In the right-hand bay, there is a secondary window opening with a 4-pane sash and case glazing. Additionally, there is a skylight in the slope of the corrugated iron roof above the right-hand bay.
On the rear elevation, the left side is masked by a gable shed, and there is a secondary casement timber window opening close to the eaves on the right.
