Description
This 18th-century cottage, known as Arniefoul, is a single-storey building with five bays and a piend roof. It is constructed from rubble and features large dressed ashlar quoins.
On the southwest (principal) elevation, there is an off-centre left boarded timber door, flanked by windows and additional boarded timber doors at the outer bays. A small traditional rooflight is located at the outer right.
The northeast elevation displays asymmetrical window arrangements and a small piended projection to the left of centre.
The cottage includes some small-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. The roof is made of Angus stone slate, and there are red brick ridge stacks, with the northern stack being corbelled and featuring thackstanes.
