Cottage, Arniefoul

This 18th-century cottage, known as Arniefoul, is a single-storey building with three bays, constructed from whitewashed rubble.

The southwest elevation is symmetrical, featuring a modern lean-to porch that conceals a central door, with windows in the flanking bays and three traditional rooflights above. There are lower outbuildings attached to the outer left side.

The northeast elevation is blank, with a rounded angle to the left and lower outbuildings adjoining to the outer right.

The windows are made of plate glass set in timber sash and case frames, and the roof is covered with grey slates. The chimney stacks are made of coped red brick with cans.

In addition to the cottage, there are ancillary structures, including a rectangular rubble outbuilding to the northwest, which has an Angus stone slate roof on one end and a corrugated-iron roof on the gable end. There is also a long, low outbuilding adjoining the cottage with a corrugated-iron roof, and a slated rubble outbuilding to the west.
