31 Dalziel Drive, Pollokshields, Glasgow

31 Dalziel Drive is a large two-storey villa built in 1902 by H E Clifford, featuring Renaissance details. The exterior is made of stugged and snecked honey-coloured ashlar with red-tiled roofs. The main entrance faces Dalziel Drive to the north and has an off-centre entrance set in a pedimented doorcase with strap-work. To the right, there is an advanced gable with ranks of small lights, and a stack rises from one curved angle. Beyond this, a bay has an upper part that is timber-framed and harled. At the left-hand (northeast) angle, there is a conical-roofed drum turret with a corbelled upper floor. The east flank features mullioned and transomed windows in the left-hand gable, along with small-paned glazing, stepped gables, and stacks. Additionally, there are rubble-built domed and battered circular gatepiers at the corner of Dalziel Drive and Albert Drive.
