Description
371 Albert Drive is a villa built by John Gordon in 1891/92, featuring Renaissance ornamentation. The building is constructed from bull-faced red ashlar with polished dressings and has red-tiled roofs. It stands two storeys high with bowed outer bays. The windows are framed by pilasters, and the pediments of the first-floor aedicules extend through the eaves. An entablature of a columned (Ionic) open central porch connects with the outer bows. The windows include slender mullions and transoms, while a low range to the right contains a smaller doorway, contributing to an asymmetrical flank elevation. A low boundary wall made of yellow ashlar with red octagonal piers featuring rusticated bands lines the street.
