Description

3 High Street in East Linton is an early to mid-19th century, two-storey, two-bay house that includes two shopfronts and an attic. The building features squared and coursed ashlar stone with a cill course and eaves course, while the ground floor is finished with painted render.

The façade has two doors with strip fanlights, with shop windows to the left. The doorway on the right is topped with a bracketed cornice. On the first floor, there are two bipartite windows with stone mullions. The attic is adorned with two segmental-headed dormers, each featuring bipartites, chamfered arrises, and small windows on the returns.

The shopfronts are fitted with plate glass, while the first-floor sash and case windows have 12-pane glazing. The former sash and case windows also have plate glass. The roof is covered with grey slates, has straight skews, and features an ashlar coped stack on the right.
