Description

Mid-late 18th century. Pair of houses, now unified as

hotel. Random whinstone rubble with sandstone

dressings, harled blank gable wall to N. Each house

2-storey, 4-bay; door with strip fanlight to 2nd bay

from left flanked by 1 window to left, 2 at right at

ground and 1st floor. Hotel entrance has pilastered

doorpiece addition with pediment.

Windows to 3 bays at 1st floor; bays above doorways

blank. 3 piended slate hung dormers to attic and small

skylight.

Sash and case windows with plate glass glazing pattern,

12-pane glazing pattern to dormers.

Grey slates; 2 of brick, ridge stack to left of centre.
