Crown Hotel, 25, 27 Bridge Street, East Linton

The Crown Hotel, located at 25 and 27 Bridge Street in East Linton, is a pair of houses from the mid to late 18th century that have been combined into a hotel. The building is constructed from random whinstone rubble with sandstone dressings, featuring a harled blank gable wall on the north side. Each house is two stories high with four bays. The entrance door, which has a strip fanlight, is located in the second bay from the left and is flanked by one window on the left and two windows on the right at both the ground and first floors. The hotel entrance includes a pilastered doorpiece with a pediment.

At the first floor, there are windows in three bays, while the bays above the doorways are blank. The attic features three piended slate-hung dormers and a small skylight. The windows are sash and case style with a plate glass glazing pattern, and the dormers have a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are two brick ridge stacks located to the left of center.
