Description
This late 18th century building at 7 and 9 High Street in East Linton is a two-storey, three-bay house that includes two shopfronts. The structure is made of squared and snecked whinstone rubble, with painted dressings.
The elevation facing High Street features a central door with architraves, a cornice, and a strip fanlight. On either side of the door, there are early 20th century wooden corniced shopfronts that project slightly. There is a pend with a door on the outer left side, and each bay on the first floor has a window.
The windows are sash and case style, with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates and includes two small skylights. The building also has ashlar mutual stacks.
