Description

The Fountain, located in The Square, East Linton, was constructed in 1882. It features a cast-iron fountain and lampstand with an ashlar pedestal. The fountain is adorned with four figurines that pour from urns, all set within a scalloped iron basin. Above, there is a scalloped canopy that rises into a three-arm lampstand decorated with floral ornamentation. The lampstand holds three early 20th century, multi-faceted, glazed lamps that include decorative ironwork and finials.
