Description

This drinking fountain, horse trough, and lamp standard was built in 1889 and restored in 1980. It is made of cast iron and sits on a stone base. The fountain has a trefoil base with steps on the west side, and a hexagonal body. The main feature faces east, with two sides curving out to support piers that hold putti with urns. Between these piers is a gothic arch that encloses a face in relief, from which water spouts. There are colonnettes at the angles, and trefoil caps with a frieze and blocks supporting crowns and brackets for the lamp standard. The lamp standard has a twisted column with a capital that branches out to two tapering square lanterns.
