Description

Nos 4 and 5 on East Street are a house that has been converted into offices. The building dates from the 18th century and was altered in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered brick and features a plain tile roof with brick gable stacks and brick coped gables that have plain kneelers. The building stands three storeys high and has a south elevation with three bays. The doorway is off-centre and has a plain 19th-century pilastered doorcase, with a raised and fielded panelled door and a rectangular overlight. On either side of the doorway are glazing bar sash windows with moulded architraves. To the left, there is a small side doorway with a plain surround. Above the main entrance, there are three glazing bar sash windows with moulded architraves, and above those, there are three smaller glazing bar sash windows.
