Description

Ball & Son Ltd. Factory is a lace factory built around 1840. It is constructed of red brick and features a Welsh slate roof, with brick gable end stacks. The building stands four storeys tall and has a south elevation that consists of nine bays, which are separated by full-height pilaster strips with chamfered angles and a chamfered plinth. The central three bays are slightly set forward and include a pedimented gable that contains a clock face. Each bay is fitted with four small-pane cast iron framed windows that have opening centre lights, except for the right-hand bays. In these bays, the ground floor features a doorway with a panelled door and a rectangular overlight, while to the right, there is a blind bay with a segmental-arched recessed panel.
