Description
Cheltermill House is a house that has been converted into offices. It was built in the late 18th century, with a mid-19th century rear wing. The structure is made of brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof. Notable architectural details include a plinth, bands at the first and second floors, cogged eaves, and two gable stacks, one of which is external. The house has three storeys and a four-window range of glazing bar sashes, with the top floor windows being smaller and all having segmental heads. The right gable features a similar sash window, and below it is a 20th-century glazed door with sidelights. The rear wing has a single gable and ridge stacks, and it is two storeys high with a four-window range of plain sashes, all with segmental heads. Below this, there is an off-centre canted wooden bay window, flanked on the left by three sashes of various sizes, one of which has glazing bars. To the right, there is a 20th-century casement window and door. All openings throughout the building have segmental heads.
