Description
Lombard House is a house dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a steeply pitched slate roof. The building has a plinth, bands at the first and second floors, moulded brick eaves, coped gables, and both a single gable and a single ridge stack. The windows are glazing bar sashes, with those on the ground and first floors having segmental heads. The house has three storeys and a five-window range, with smaller windows on the third floor. On the right side, there is a 19th-century Classical stone doorcase with a panelled lintel and an open pediment supported by scroll brackets, leading to a renewed six-panel door. To the left, there is an altered segment-headed carriage opening with a keystone, which contains a moulded four-panel door and a blocked window.
