Description
The Jubilee Fountain, located in Fountain Square, Brora, was built in 1897. It features a small domed cast-iron canopy that is decoratively pierced and supported by a simple column with moulded capitals. The canopy has round-headed cusped arches and circular medallions displaying raised, gilded busts of Queen Victoria on each face. A short apex lamp standard, which now holds a modern light, is also part of the design. Below, there is a circular shallow basin set on a low round pedestal, also made of cast iron. The fountain stands on a low square stepped plinth, which is surrounded by a diminutive modern wall enclosing a miniature garden.
