Description

Jubilee Fountain is a late 19th century drinking fountain located in Trinity Square, Axminster. It features a tall square pier divided into three stages. The fountain is situated in the second stage, which has four-centre arch niches and colonettes at each corner. This stage also includes panels with cusped heads and an embattled cornice above. At the top, there is an ogee-shaped cap that is surmounted by an iron lamp. The fountain was erected to celebrate the Jubilee in 1887.
