Description
The premises of R A and C Snell Estate Agents date from around 1850-1860 and are built in a gothic style using dressed stone with freestone details. The building features a slate roof with stone coped gable ends and a moulded eaves cornice. It has two storeys and an attic, consisting of three bays, with the centre and right-hand bays having gabled ends topped with finials. The windows are two and three-light moulded stone mullion and transom types, equipped with cambered relieving arches and narrow attic lights in the gables. The entrance includes a moulded stone two-centred arch doorway with a dripmould and head stops, along with a trefoiled fanlight. To the left, there is a moulded two-centred arch carriageway. The building has a modern shop front and a rendered diagonal stack at the ridge. It is included for its group value.
