Description
The premises of M W Pike and Co, J O Llewelyn Ltd, and Gills is an early 19th-century building featuring a stuccoed exterior and a low-pitched slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and consists of five bays. The building has sash windows, although only the windows of J O Llewelyn's have glazing bars. The ground floor of the shops occupied by Pike and Llewelyn showcases a mid-19th-century pilastered shop front, complete with an entablature and cornice supported by console brackets. Pike's shop front includes a fielded panel door with panelled reveals, and it has a smaller and taller shop front. To the right, Gills features a carriageway with a stone elliptical arch and an inserted shop front. This building is included for its group value.
