The premises of W G Potter and Son, built around 1840, is a painted brick building located on a street corner with a curved front. It features a slate roof, a painted stone stringcourse, and moulded architraves. The building has three storeys and seven bays, with sash windows that include glazing bars set within moulded architraves. The first-floor windows have heads supported by console brackets. The ground floor showcases an early 19th-century shop front, characterized by wide pilasters inscribed with a Greek key design, along with a deep pentice hood supported by consoles and iron brackets.
