Description
Castle Mount is an early 19th century pair of ashlar houses, with the right-hand house now serving as offices. The building features a slate roof, with one end hipped, and has a heavy eaves cornice adorned with circled modillions and bands at the floor levels. It stands three storeys tall and consists of four bays. The windows are sash, with only two on the second floor, while the first floor has moulded heads and a narrow splayed bay on the left side. The ground floor includes two splayed bays. The right-hand doorway has a rectangular fanlight and cornice, while the left-hand doorway is flanked by stone Tuscan columns and an entablature. The building is topped with red brick ridge and end chimney stacks that feature stone cornices.
