Description

Elson House and Home Lea is an early 19th-century pair of houses made of red brick, located on Chard Street in Axminster. The houses feature a slate roof with gabled ends and a stone basement. They are two storeys high and have a four-window range. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, set beneath flat brick arches that include keystones. There are two doorcases, each adorned with reeded architraves, entablatures, and panelled doors. The buildings also have brick ridge chimney stacks. This listing is included for its group value.
