Manor House, 7 The Square, East Linton

Manor House, located at 7 The Square in East Linton, is a mid-18th century, 7-bay house that underwent significant alterations in the 19th century. The exterior is rendered with painted dressings, featuring a base course, band course, and a cornice that extends across the raised, advanced central shaped gabled bays. The rear is constructed of rubble, with the gables extended in brick.

The central doorway is positioned within the three advanced bays and features a pilastered porch adorned with decorative moulding on the cornice and a segmental pediment. Flanking the doorway are two windows, with two additional windows on the first floor; the central opening above is blind and leads to a chimney flue. There are two windows above in the attic gable, with a blind central opening that is bipartite. Each bay in the flanking wings has a window at both the ground and first floors, and each wing features a single centrally placed dormer in the attic, topped with segmental pediments.

The windows throughout are sash and case with plate glass. The roof is a mansard platform covered with grey slates, featuring straight skews and rendered stacks, with a central wallhead gable stack.
