Description

The fountain, located in The Square, Fochabers, dates from 1878 and is made of painted cast iron. It features a central pedestal with a shaped base that is decorated with acanthus leaves and four cherubs, each positioned on an urn with a water spout. The pedestal supports two shallow circular basins, with the smaller basin sitting above the larger one. The fountain is situated in the center of a large shallow octagonal pool, which is surrounded by moulded cast-iron sides.
