15 The Square, Fochabers

15 The Square in Fochabers is a late 18th century, east-facing, three-storey house featuring a return gable and an entrance on High Street. The building is constructed of mixed rubble with tooled sandstone ashlar dressings. It has a regular arrangement of windows, including low windows under the eaves on the second floor. The former central door on the east elevation has been converted into a window. The High Street elevation is also regular with two bays, an entrance, and paired small attic windows. Most windows have four-pane glazing, except for the front second-floor windows, which have single panes. The house has coped end stacks and a Banffshire slate roof.

At the rear, there are various wings, including a two-storey, wide single-bay, flat-roofed modern wing at the south gable, which has a recessed entrance (15A).

Surrounding the property are high rubble garden walls that front The Square, George Street, and return on Spey Street.
