54 Land Street, Keith

54 Land Street in Keith is a house from the later 18th century, with modifications made in the early 19th century. It is a two-storey, three-bay building facing east, featuring a single-storey projecting two-bay wing at the south gable (No 54) and a second entrance on the return north gable facing Chapel Street. The exterior is made of pointed random brown granite rubble with tooled contrasting granite dressings, showcasing long and short detailing around the windows and doors. The modern central door on the east front is flanked by two-pane glazing, and there is an early 19th-century wallhead shaped gablet with a ball finial above the central first-floor window. The house has coped end stacks, which have been heightened with brick on the south wing, and scroll skewputts. The main block has a red felt tile roof, while the wing is covered with Banffshire slates.

Inside, there is beaded panelling on some of the ground floor window shutters. The garden is enclosed by a high rubble wall to the south.
