Description

20 The Square in Fochabers is a house dating from around 1800. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure facing east, with a single-storey, two-bay wing at the north gable. The exterior features pointed mixed rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. The house has a central door and regular window arrangement, although the end window in the wing is a blocked doorway. The glazing is modern and consists of two panes. There is a single end stack and the roofs are covered with slate.

Surrounding the property is a high rubble garden wall that returns around the angle of Gordon Street. This wall incorporates a rubble outbuilding with a weatherboarded gable on the south side, a loft entrance on the north side, and a graded Banffshire slate roof.
