Description

28 Tolbooth Street in Forres is a house dating from around 1800. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring three wide bays with a central door. The exterior is constructed from rubble with painted margins and has a gable end facing Tolbooth Street. Some 12-pane glazing remains, along with three canted dormers and end stacks that have angle margins. The roof is made of West Highland slate.

The property also includes a single square gatepier topped with a fluted frieze and cornice that bears a swagged urn.

Inside, the house has been significantly altered, but fielded panelled window shutters are still present.
