Description

28 North Main Street in Wigtown is a house dating from around 1800. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with some later alterations. The exterior features painted rubble with ashlar dressings. Originally, there were two doors at the centre, but the left door has been blocked, and the windows on either side have been enlarged. There are two original small windows in the outer bays on the first floor, with a former off-centre window now blocked. The ground floor has sash and case windows with plate glass glazing, while the first floor windows have 12 panes. The roof is covered with rubberoid material, and there are mutual gable stacks. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing.
