Description
109 George Street in Whithorn is a house dating from around 1800. It is two stories high and has four bays, constructed from painted rubble with raised painted margins and rusticated quoins.
The front of the house is symmetrical, featuring doors that alternate with windows on the ground floor. To the left, there is a door leading to a pend, with both doors being modern and recessed, complete with fanlights. On the first floor, there are four windows, all of which are sash and case style, with six-pane upper sashes and plate glass lower sashes.
The building has an eaves bank, with sandstone skews at the ends, tall corniced stacks at both ends, and a slate roof. There are also two small skylights on the front.
