Description

1 Duke Street in Fochabers is a late 18th century, two-storey, four-bay building that serves as both a dwelling and a shop. The shop entrance is located on the return gable facing Duke Street. The structure features a mix of rubble, painted tooled ashlar, and renewed rendered margins. It has two enlarged first-floor windows and a single enlarged ground-floor shop window, with varied glazing. At the rear, there is a harled, two-storey, single-bay addition. The building has heightened end stacks and is topped with slate roofs.
