Description

John Baxter, 1788. N facing 2-storey, symmetrical 5-bay house

with return gable to George Street. Mixed rubble, red

sandstone rubble gables, tooled ashlar sandstone dressings

and margins. Centre door in round-headed recessed entrance

flanked by ground floor windows set behind shallow blind

arcade. Narrow 1st floor windows; paired square-headed attic

windows in return gables; 2-pane glazing.

Moulded coped end stacks; graded Banffshire slate roof.

Modern extension at rear.

INTERIOR: some original field panelled window shutters

survive.

GARDEN WALLS: high rubble garden walls flank George Street.
